Here is your answer
The Calvin cycle has four main steps: carbon fixation, reduction phase, carbohydrate formation, and regeneration phase. Energy to fuel chemical reactions in this sugar-generating process is provided by ATPand NADPH, chemical compounds which contain the energy plants have captured from sunlight

Calvin cycle is very important for plant to sustain the life. This process occurs inside the chloroplast.
EXPLANATION:
It involves the series of steps like carbon fixation, reduction phase, carbohydrate and regeneration phase. It uses sunlight and tends to production of sugar by using certain energy generating molecule like ATP (adenine triphosphate molecule), NADPH (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) molecule. This process occurs in the thylakoid membrane for membrane of chloroplast. This reaction generates NADP+ and also releases the inorganic phosphate.
