Explain the meaning of family of salts. Give two examples each of sodium salt, chloride salt and magnesium salt. ​

Salts are formed by the reaction of acids and base. If two salts have same positive or negative radicals, they are called to be of same family. In other words, if salts formed by the reaction of same acid with different bases, then all salts so formed belong to the same family. Salt is The hydrogen ions of the acid are completely replaced by metallic ions . Examples are NaCl, CuSO4, KNO3, and CaCO3. The salt contains hydroxides together with metallic ions and negative ions from an acid. Examples are basic zinc chloride, ZnOHCl, basic magnesium chloride.
