HDI means Human Development Index.

 EXPLANATION:

The “Human Development Index” (HDI) is tool of statistics that used for the measurement of overall achievement of a country in its “social and economic dimensions”.  

Three components of measuring HDI are:  

  • Life Expectancy: Life expectancy is defined as the average amount of expected length of a person’s life at the birth time.  
  • Per Capita Income: “Mean income” of the people is an economic unit. It can be calculated by the dividing of the total national income of a country by population.    
  • Education Index: Mean years of the schooling and some Expected years of schooling.
