Secularism in India means equal treatment of all religions by the state. With the 42nd Amendment of the Constitution of India enacted in 1976, the Preamble to the Constitution asserted that India is a secular nation. However, neither India's constitution nor its laws define the relationship between religion and state. hope it helps

secularism is the rejection or exclusion of, religion and religious considerations.

provisions :-

(i) The Constitution of India does not give special recognition to any religion and there is no State religion in India, unlike, Christianity in America, Buddhism in Sri Lanka etc.

(ii) All individuals and communities have been given freedom to practice, profess and propagate any religion.
