The government of Maharashtra has taken initiatives to improve the infrastructure of the state.  

• In an attempt to develop the social infrastructure of Maharashtra, strong initiatives are taken in improving the education industry, medical facilities and the connectivity of the state.  
• The social infrastructure consists of aspects that all help the citizens of a geographical area suitable for economic and productive work.
• India has a very dismal social infrastructure – as in the rural areas are way behind the required need and the urban areas are well developed. Maharashtra state is also a perfect example of this, whose rural areas need improvement in medical facilities, in education institutes, in proper roads and connectivity.
