the mechanism of breathing in humans is mainly based on lungs. First we inhale in through our nostrils and then the air passes through our lungs. Then, in our lungs, their is a substance or cell to be called named Alveoli. This Alveoli absorbs pure oxygen from the inhaled air which is then passed on to each part of our body by arteries. Which is then used by our body organs for energy synthesising. After the oxygen is used, our cells release carbon-dioxide as a waste product which is then transported to our heart by veins. Then carbon-dioxide from the deoxygenated blood is again absorbed by alveolies and released during exhalation. You might be thinking this whole process should take so much time but our special body do the whole long process in fractions of seconds.
