Explanation:

human beings breathe through nostrils and it passes through the larynx, bronchi ,bronchioles and atlast to alveoli . in alveoli the air which is rich in oxygen is diffused and the waste is collected which is rich in carbon dioxide is diffused through diffusion and released out .

  • Inhaling Oxygen and Exhaling Carbon Dioxide is together known as BREATHING.
  • It is the Physical process.
  • The process consists of two main things:
  1. Inspiration
  2. Expiration

Mechanism of Breathing:

During inhalation, the diaphragm moves downwards. Due to this, the lungs will have more space to get filled with air.

During exhalation, the diaphragm comes back to its original position. So, pressure is exerted and it forces the air to come out.
