the opening and closing of stomata is controlled by the 2guard cells present very close to the stomata pore
the guard cells shrink when water moves out of them thus causing the stomatal pore to close.. and the guard cell swell when theres more water in them thus making the stomatal pore to open

The opening and closing of the pore is a function of the guard cells. The guard cells swell when water flows into them, causing the stomatal pore to open. Simillarly the pore closes if the guard cells shrink
