The soap helps in breaking or making the dirt light and soluble, Before water can dissolve it.

Soap molecules are long chain of carboxylic acid and it is sodium or potassium at the one end.


Though it has the commonly in the oily in the nature and it never get dissolve in the part of the water.


Here the carbon chain will dissolve in oil dirt and ionic end dissolves in the water.
