2) Roads can negotiate sharp turns and terrain.

demerits:-

1) one of the major disadvantage of roadways is the frequent accident.

2) Heavy taxes have to be paid for using roadways.

merits:-

1)These are suitable in transportation of bulky material.

2)These cost much cheaper.

demerits:-

1)take more time and capital to be constructed.

2)cannot negotiate sharp turns and terrain.
