Hey!

x²-6x+8

Now for solving by completing the square method

we have to take the number on left side to the right side

so,

x²-6x = -8 -(1)✓

Now as we took the number to right side

we need 3 terms on left but we have only two

So

Third term = (1/2× coefficient of x)² ✓

this is Formula to find

third term = (1/2×-6)² ✓

( here we took coefficient of variable that is -6 )

Third term = 9 ✓

Now, we have to add third term to both sides of equation (1)

Equation (1) is

x²-6x=-8

so adding 9 to both sides

x²-6x+9=-8+9 ✓

now you need to understand

on left side , we want a complete square means whole square ( )²

so we have to take the first variable without square and the middle sign and the number's square root

so equation it comes like this

(x-3)²=-8+9 ✓

three bcoz 3²=9

(x-3)² = 1 ✓

Now,taking square root of both sides ✓

x-3= +-1 ✓

as we take square root

we have to consider both +&- signs

now ,

x-3=1 or x-3=-1 ✓

x=1+3 or x=-1+3 ✓

x= 4 or x = 2 ✓

here is the full step wise solution

✓ sign are the actual steps

hope now there's no doubt

Plz do make it Brainliest

I have solved on my own

thank u ...
