Food can be preserved in mainly 3 ways:
1.Refrigeration:
We can keep food in refrigerators to extend their consumable time.
Example: Keeping milk in freezer/refrigerator for 2 or more days.
2.Airtight containers:
Spoiling of food happens in presence of air. Air tight containers prevent air from flowing in and spoiling food.
Example: Keeping sweets in airtight containers.
3.Chemical Preservatives:
Adding chemicals like sodium benzoate helps foods like jams and pickles stay unspoiled for extremely long periods of time.
