explain the methods of oxygen supply to the cells release of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere during the process of transportation in humans
Answers
Method of oxygen supply to the cells:
In human being, supply of oxygen and release of carbon dioxide takes place by respiratory and circulatory system.
In respiration process, the inhalation
of oxygen takes pla by nasal cavity.
Finally, the oxygen is transferred to the
alveoli to rest of the cells of the body.
The transfer of oxygen from atmosphere to blood takes place in three processes namely ventilation, diffusion, and perfusion.
• Ventilation: The process of moving in and moving out of the oxygen.
• Diffusion: The movement of the oxygen from alveoli and capillaries and carbon dioxide from blood capillaries to alveoli.
Perfusion: The process of movement of blood throughout the lungs
Gas exchange takes place in the alveoli of lungs and capillaries. This process is called respiration.
The oxygen supply to the cells and carbon dioxide eliminates into the atmosphere from the cells during the process of transportation in humans.
• The transportation process n humans carried by the circulatory system.
• In the human body, oxygen is taken by the red blood cells and CO2 from the different tissues is transported to the alveoli.
