heya!!!
here is ur answer
_______________________-_____________
micelle formation takes place when soap is added to water because the hydrocarbon chain of soap molecules are hydrophobic (water repelling )which are insoluble in water ,but the ionic end of soap molecules are hydrophilic(water attracting )and hence soluble in water.
◆micell formation wil not take place when soap is added to orgainic solvent like ethanol.
because the hydrogen chain of soap molecules are soluble in orgainic solvent like ethanol..
hope it help you.
