The different modes of transport are air, water, and land transport, which includes Rails or railways, road and off-road transport. ... Basically we have fundamental four modes- The Land-the land itself, the Road- In the road with the vehicle i.e your truck (LCV, HCV) and another one is by Rail, different type of vagens, third by Aircraft(Domestic aircraft and International Aircraft, Smaller ATR flight or bigger flight), then the vessel(Smaller vessel is called a Feeder and the bigger vessel is called the mother Vessel).
So we have four modes of transportation or four modes of Logistics, each one we are going to see independently.
The biggest advantage of the Road transport is it connects from one place to another- that means one origin to the destination whereas the Rail or Air or Water will not do the Last Mile Delivery.
