Explain the naming of this hydrocarbon. Why 2-Methoxycarbonylethanoix acid??​

Answer:

Firstly we do numbering acc. to the preference order of the functional group... acid group is given 1st no. then the other ester group is used as a prefix, it is a rule. We use methoxy for -O-CH3 and carbonyl for -C=O bcoz it is not counted in numbering and for 2 carbon acid we use Ehanoicacid.
