HEYA..!!

Unification of Italy is described below:

1. Count Camillo De Cavour led the movement for unifying the different regons of Italy to become a nation state under his leadership. Sadinia pied-mont defeated Austrian forces in 1859 with the help of France.

2. In 1801 , under the leadership of Garibold: Italy forces marched into South Italy and kingdom of sicilies to overthrow the rule of spanish rulers.

3. In the war with Prussia, France withdraw the troops from Rome this led the papal states to finally  join Italy and hence the process of unification of Italy was completed.

Italy used to be many different, smaller countries. Between 1815–1871 Italy started to form these smaller states and became one country, the Kingdom of Italy, led by Vittorio Emanuele II of Italy (Called Victor Emanuel II in English). Starting around 1848, nationalism and patriotism became popular throughout Europe. Many people wanted the smaller countries with similar culture, language, or ethnicity to join together. This resulted in two major countries being formed. The first was Italy in the Italian unification. The second was Germany in the German unification.
