Some of the features of the farmer’s movement in India are as follows. It started during the British colonial period against the forced farming rules and guidelines.
Later on it coordinated with the freedom movement of India and played an effective role in self rule.
Since the ruling part failed to resolve thje problems of the rural masses even after independence, the modern day movement is focused on protecting t6he land and fighting for better price of the food products in market.
