The forest act in India divided the forest in three parts
Reserved
Protected , and
Viilage forest .
The forest act created many problems for the villagers . Their daliy practise cutting wood for their houses , hunting , fishing and collecting fruits now became illegal . Many forest which supplied valuable timber were declared as reserved forest by the british . The tribals were not allowed to collect wood , fruits , hunt amd practise shifting cultivation in these forests . This resulted in the loss of livelihood , poverty and hunger among the tribals .
