the necessity of constitution in the new south Africa was that the whites and non whites had to live together so they needed a constitution to ensure equality within all (the non whites demand, they feared the white would rule again) and also to ensure protection of their properties and privileges ( the whites were scared, they thought that non whites would take revenge).
