Explain the need for conservation of resource and went in a few steps to conserve resources
Answers
Answer:
Hey there!
Introduction- Mahatma Gandhi said that nature has enough resources for everyone's need but not for anyone's greed. We have to conserve resources because:-
- All resources are limited.
- Some resources are non- renewable. These resources are of limited quantity and hence we need to conserve them.
- Recycling some resources like metals and more is also very important to prevent environmental degradation.
- Some resources like fossil fuels, coal and petroleum get exhausted with their single use. Hence, we need to use them appropriately so that our future generations do not suffer.
- Even renewable resources can be overused. This happens when we begin to consume the resources more than they are replenished by nature.
- At present, nearly one- third of the country is overusing their groundwater resources. If this pace continues, then after a few years, two- third of the country would be doing the same.
- Similarly, petroleum stock is left for the next fifty years only in the entire world.
- Moreover, indiscriminate use of resources lead to the accumulation of resources in the hands of a few which, in turn, divides the society into two segments, i.e., haves and have nots or rich and poor.
- Indiscrimate use of resources has given rise to a number of global issues such as global warming and ozone layer depletion.
- Resource depletion creates an imbalance in the society, nation and even world as a whole.
We can conserve resources by following a few basic steps:-
- We should use resources judiciously.
- We should not waste water.
- We should recycle the recyclable resources.
- We should switch to non- conventional and renewable resources.
- Resources should not be depleted to fulfil the greed of a few
Conclusion- There is a pressing need for the conservation of resources since they are not free gifts of the nature.
Hope it helped!

Conservation of Resources
Since resources are useful to us we should avoid wasting them before their supplies run out. The careful use of resources is called conservation of resources. All of us hold the responsibility to ensure that enough resources are left behind for future generations. Depletion of our life support resources such as water, air, soil and biodiversity, is a great problem that we are facing today. Carbon dioxide emissions and large scale deforestation have resulted in a global increase in temperature. This increase in temperature is leading to adverse effects on our natural resources.
You can help conserve resources by following these practices:
(i) Reduce the items in your shopping list.
(ii) Reuse leftover food items.
(iii)Plant tree saplings to mark special occasions.
(iv) Save trees from being cut down by not wasting paper.
(v)Walk or ride a bicycle for short distances and opt for car pooling for longer distances.
(vi)Recycle waste paper, plastic bottles and cans.
(vii) Save electricity and water.
