Thank you for this question.

When the French colonized the Africans, they traded the Africans as slaves for their plantations across the coastline. The African slaves were traded like animals who were washed, shaved and then sold to European traders who used them as labour and for personal household work.

The French abolished the European slavery in Africa, when the French brought sovereignty of the colonies. After the French Revolution, the French government abolished the colonies in 1794. As the states declared sovereignty, slavery eventually ended in these regions.

                                                            Answer:

Europeans who were settled in America were attracted towards owning extensive lands for plantations and growing crops.

They were reluctant workers. Initially British convicts were transported for this plantation work.

But at a certain time, the demand exceeded the supply. It was during this time that the planters started purchasing slaves from Africa.

Millions of slaves were forcibly deported to America and Caribbean Islands to provide sufficient labor for tobacco and sugar plantations.

They were also coerced into mining activities. An enormously driven slave rebellion demanding an immediate emancipation and end to the slavery protocol led to the formulation of the Abolition of Slavery Act in the year 1833, after which slavery system was completely exterminated
