Answer:

The four realms comprising the earth are as follows-

(a) Lithosphere

(b) Hydrosphere

(c) Atmosphere

(d) Biosphere

The lithosphere is the extreme outer layer of the earth that is comprised of the crust and a small portion of the upper mantle.

Hydrosphere refers to all the water bodies present on earth.

The atmosphere refers to the gaseous envelope of the earth.

The biosphere refers to all the regions where living species live and their interaction with the physical environment.

All these four realms are directly connected to one another. They must be protected in order to keep the total earth system in balance. Currently, some parts of the atmosphere, biosphere and the hydrosphere portion on earth is being affected due to the anthropogenic activities. The atmosphere is affected due to the emission of a large amount of toxic gases from the vehicles, industries and other factories. Water pollution has become one of the major issue at present as the rivers, lakes and seas are also constantly being contaminated. The biosphere region is harmed by the cutting down of trees in order to construct houses and other commercial buildings. These  has caused a tremendous effect on the variety of living species that exist in all the realms, as a result of which the number of species has decreased to a certain amount.

Thus, these 4 realms are the most important part of the earth and should be protected always.
