Female Reproductive System in Humans:- The female reproductive system in humans is composed of a pair of ovaries and a uterus. The uterus is a muscular bag-like structure. At the top of the uterus are two fallopian tubes; one on either side of the uterus. The mouth of the uterus opens into the vagina. Ovaries produce all the eggs when the girl child is still in the womb. One egg is released in each ovulation cycle and transferred to the fallopian tube. The ovary also produces the hormones oestrogen and progesterone.
