Answer: The full form of PDS is public distribution system , which means that is a scheme for common people which gives appropriate goods such as food. This scheme is run by the government itself, whether it is local,central or state Govt.
The main purpose and importance of this scheme is to provide public services. in India, most of the citizens are not able to buy grossery from every kind of store. Their income is less. that is why Govt. made this scheme to provide essential grossery in appropriate price.
Due to this pandemic situation[lockdown in all over the world] , the Govt. are not able to provide such goods to it's users .and because of this people are suffering from scarcity of required resources.
And further it created critical situation.
