Social structures is a distinctive arrangement of institutions/ places where human interaction takes place and a social exchange of communication is possible. The most prominent social institutions can be family, education, religion, economy.
Evans Pritchard is said to be the pioneer in the social structure explanation.
As he researched about various cultures (especially the African culture) and encouraged other to do the same. He was of the view that anthropology is not only a natural science but should be closely related to humans how they live and interact in order to clearly understand its true meaning.
He was also of the view that history should also be taken into account while talking about social structures as the methods and theories taught in history can be applied and replicated in the present times also.
