Africa is enormous. It straddles the equator and has multiple climate zones and physical features. It is broken up into eight distinctive geographical regions: Sahara, Sahel, Ethiopian Highlands, Savanna, Swahili Coast, Rain Forest, African Great Lakes, and Southern Africa.

Africa contains two major deserts. The Sahara Desert is the

worlds largest desert. The Sahara covers more than 4800

kilometers from the cost of westerns Sahara to the Nile river

valley in Egypt.

It s also large that entire countries like China or United states

would fit within its boundaries.

The other desert is the Kalahari Desert in South Africa.
