Physiography is another term for physical geography. Terrain: Brazil: mostly flat to rolling lowlands in north; some plains, hills, mountains, and narrow coastal belt. India: upland plain, (Decan Plateau) in south, slat to rolling plain along the Ganges, deserts in west, Himalayas in north.

India is divided in to five physiographic divisions- Himalayas, Northern Indiana plains, the peninsular plateau, The coastal plains and the island. A large part of Brazil consists of highlands, plateau and small mountains.
