Answer:

There are four types of plate boundaries: Divergent boundaries — where new crust is generated as the plates pull away from each other. Convergent boundaries — where crust is destroyed as one plate dives under another.

Convergent boundaries: where crust is destroyed as one plate dives under another.

Transform boundaries: where crust is neither produced nor destroyed as the plates slide horizontally past each other.

Plate boundary zones: broad belts in which boundaries are not well defined and the effects of plate interaction are unclear.

Answer:

There are 3 types of plate edges.....

(1) Divergent boundaries - it forms when two plates apart from each other causing tension in the crust, then cracking and creating wide gaps or rifts. At other places, magma may ooze out and spread forming mountain ridges..

(2) convergent boundaries - when two plates of varying densities, like a lighter continental plate and a heavier oceanic plate move towards each other, the lighter plate rides over the heavier plate forming a deep gap or trench.

(3) Transform boundaries - some plates do not converge or diverge . These are also called conservative boundaries. They slip past each other without creating new crust or destroying old crust .....
