Divide and rule was one of the best policy used by the British at that time. Many kings and princess were jelous between themselves in terms of power, wealth and respect. British were giving there army to one kingdom. When there was war were going between two rulers British was supplying there armor to one of the ruler in the war. After war, when kings were lost there mans and armours from both sides , british start capturing these weak kingdoms which maid policy divide and rule successful. Rajputs of Rajasthan were mostly affected that time.
