In Europe, Belgium is a small country. There were three linguistic groups in  Belgium which are:

(i)Dutch speaking people

(ii)French speaking people

(iii) German speaking people

The political problems faced by Belgium are listed as follows :

1.The main problem faced by Belgium was an arrangement of the power sharing between the linguistic groups.

2.Out of the total population of the country , about 59% speaks Dutch and live in Flemish region  while 40% speak French and reside in Wallonia region and the remaining 1% of Belgians spoke German.

3. The minority French speaking community was relatively rich and Powerful. The Dutch speaking majority resented this as they got the benefit of economic development much later.
