The students of this generation are very sensible and understand a lot about what harms can increase in e-waste production cause. Below, I have listed a few positive procedures that they can apply in their daily life to help the world reduce the generation of e-waste.
About old or unused electronics:
- One should not throw these items in the trash. Chemical spillage is possible due to this action which induces toxins in the environment.
- Sharing is caring is a good thought. So, if you have something that is still functional, you must pass it on to others. This may decrease the number of existing electronics.
- If the second point is not possible then it is the method to recycle waste of such category.
- Find a good e-waste recycling unit in your area.
- Students must inculcate techniques that can help them in fixing any problem in a broken gadget. They can do research through multiple online sources like you-tube and google. Also, multiple books are available these days which have simple illustrations of the solutions on mending gadgets.
- It is also preferable if students perform fund-raisers for recycling in order to manage e-waste.
