Following are the postulates of Dalton's Atomic Theory-
1. All matter consists of very tiny particles called atoms.
2. Atoms are indivisible or indestructible.They can neither be created nor be destroyed.
3. In chemical reactions, atoms rearrange , combine, or separate but they do not themselves break apart .
4. All atoms of a particular element are identical in mass and other properties.
5. The atoms of one element are different from the atoms of all other elements .
6. Atoms of one element combines with atoms of another element in fixed whole numbers to form compounds.
