Heat is transferred to and from object by three process : conduction, radiation, and convection.
Conduction is the heat traveling through a solid material.
Radiation traveling heat in the form of visible and non visible light.
Convection is the another type of heat traveling in the form of gases.

The Principle of heat exchange is "the heat lost by the hot body = the gained by the cold body".
Explanation:
The Principle of heat exchange is "the heat lost by the hot body = the gained by the cold body".
- The hot and cold objects present in the surrounding continue to exchange heat until there is a thermal equilibrium attained between the objects.
- The principle of "Heat lost by the hot body is equal to the heat gained by the cold body".
- When objects of opposing temperatures are kept in contact they absorb the temperature of the other object to reach a equilibrium (it is a state of balance among two opposite extremes).
- There will no more be an exchange if the objects are separated.
