According to the principles of the homogineily of the dimensions teh dimensions of the fundamental quantities (such as mass,length,time etc) must be same in each and every term on their sides of the physical relation.

In other words physical quantities can only be correct when the dimensions on both the sides of the equations are same.

To the dimensions on both the sides of the equations are not correct then the equation is also incorrect as per as the principle of the homogeneity.

Examples of length

If we will derive the dimensions of the length from the equations then the resulting answers must have the length as the dimensions than only it can be correct

Uses of the principles of the homogineily are

  1. The principles of the homogineily is useful in checking the correctness of the equations.
  2. This law also used to derived the dimensions of the other physical derived quantities.
