Law of paired factors states that a heredity character is controlled in a diploid organism by at least two alleles that occupy the corresponding loci in the teo homologous chromosomes.

An individual receives one allele for a trait from each parent, and passes one of the two alleles for a trait at random of each offspring. The two alleles for a trait are similar in a homozygous individual (TT in pure tall pea plant) and are dissimilar in a hetrozygous individual (Tt in a hybrid tall pea plant).
