2.A person suffering from some ailment might be bedridden for some time because it takes time to cure any disease

3.A person suffering from some disease might spread the infection to other people as well

Therefore, it is necessary to prevent certain diseases beforehand.

1. Preventing expose to Infectious agents:

Airborne disease => Avoiding crowded places and clean environment.

Foodborne diseases => By eating hygienic food.

Waterborne diseases => Safe and pure drinking water.

Lifestyle diseases => By eating balanced diet.

Vector-borne diseases => Clean surrounding and maintaining public hygiene.

2. Strengthening of immune system:

• The foreign substance or germs that enter our body and cause diseases are called antigen.

• The immune system recognizes the antigen and produces antibodies to kill or neutralise antigens.

• The ability of a body to resist a disease with the help of antibodies is called immunity.

• By vaccination the immune system can be strengthened.

• The vaccines are available for enhancing our immune system against various diseases like polio, chicken pox and measles.
