HELLO FRIEND
your question is * Explain the problems faced by farmers in getting back loans
SO LETS EXPLORE :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My first point is to explain you about the Food wastage due to lack of storage
and transportation facilities - :
1 => The amounts of food wasted in the country puts huge pressure on
agriculture to produce more crops .
2 => Lack of storage and transportation facilities leads to a situation where a
significant proportion of the agricultural produce is spoiled before it reaches
the market.
3 => This leads to reduced returns for the farmers and is also inefficient from
the economic point of view.
ACTUALLY IT IS BECAUSE OF SOME FACTORS I AM PUTTING MY VIEWS ON IT :-)
1 India has a gap of 3.28 million tonnes of cold storage facilities for fruits and vegetables
2 The food lost could feed people in the state of Bihar for an entire year
3 In 2013, the Global Food Waste Not Want Not Report found that the wheat wasted in India due to want of storage and production facilities is almost equivalent to the entire production of Australia
THESE ARE THE MAIN PROBLEMS :-) but our main target was bank so lets explore more !
but they face in getting loans because they are uneducated and they needs to suffer a lot while taking loans from bank agricultural lending to follow overall lending is unequivocally unhealthy, for both banks and farmers, by causing credit surges unrelated to the sector’s needs. This was most clearly seen when the economy was running above 9% growth rates in the middle of the last decade and overall credit was expanding rapidly. Banks had no choice but to nearly triple their lending for every unit of agricultural output. Even with banks and borrowers pushing the boundaries of qualifiable lending, the stagnant agricultural sector did not have the capacity to absorb such large volumes of cash.
thats why they face problems in getting loans HOPE THIS HELPS YOU !
