(i) Treaty of Versailles - The humiliating Treaty of Versailles forced Germany to lose all her colonies , divided her , decreased their military strength and also resulted in loss of her economy . It was a disgraceful Treaty and Germany ceded large parts of her territory .

(ii) Economic crisis - Germany had to pay 33 billion dollar to the Allies . The farmers entered into debt and trade and commerce was ruined.

(iii) Political instability - There was no majority in the Government and there was no check to the Nazi party .

(iv) Others - There was fear of growth of communalism . German Army was significantly reduced and Germany's economy was crippled . These were the major problems faced by Weimer Republic ( Germany ).
