Answer:

Place the concave mirror on a stand, along the meter scale

such that it is at 5cm mark & facing the object.

Place a screen in front of a mirror & move it backward or

forward till a well defined, sharp, inverted & diminished

image is formed.

Note the position of the screen from the meter scale &

hence find the distance between concave mirror & the

screen.

Record the values in a table as shown here.

The distance between mirror & screen is equal to the focal

length of the mirror.

Repeat the above procedure for two times.

Note the position of the mirror & the screen with the help

of a meter scale & record the focal length.

Calculate the average focal length of the three values

which gives the focal length.
