Explain the procedure of CT Scan of King Tut
Answers
Answer:
King Tut's mummy was CT scanned on January 5, 2005 under the supervision of Zahi Hawaas, by removing it from its resting place in the ancient cemetery, the Valley of the Kings. Tourists gazed at the murals on the walls of the burial chamber and wondered about the Pharaoh's curse. Workmen carried Tut's mummy from his tomb. They climbed a ramp and stairs into the sand outside. Then they raised it on a hydraulic lift into the trailer that held the scanner. A portable CT scanner had been donated to Egypt's supreme council of Antiquities by the National Geographic Society ans Siemens, its manufacturer. Sand entered the machine and it couldn't work. It was as if the Pharaoh's curse was working. The fans were replaced and the CT scan was successfully completed. The results was very good. The head and neck vertebrate appeared very clearly. There were several views of the skull and the rib age. Zahi Hawass, the Secretary General of the Council smiled and expressed his satisfaction. The mystery surrounding King Tut's death was eliminated and there was no Pharaoh's curse.
