Heya!!

Experimentally the law of conservation of mass was verified by Hydeweiller(1901) and landolt.

lavoiser stated the law basing on the result of his experiment as

" mass neither be created nor be destroyed during any physical or chemical process and there is only a change in the form of matter"

now let's go through the experiment ( the process you have asked)

landolt took the solutions of sodium chloride and silver nitrate separately in two limbs of 'H' - shaped tube ( called landolt's tube). the tube was sealed and weighed. the two solutions were mixed by inverting the tube. As a result, the reaction occured between silver nitrate and sodium chloride and white precipitate of silver chloride is formed as

AgNo3(silver nitrate) + NaCl (sodium chloride) = Agcl ( silver chloride) + NaNo3( sodium nitrate)

After the reaction, the tube was again weighed. it was observed that the weight almost remained practically unchanged. this experiment verified the law of conservation of mass.

Landolt used different reactions to study this law. In all the cases, the law of conservation of mass proved with negligible error.

Precautions :- 1) use gloves to your hand before performing any experiment like this. there may be some harmful chemicals and acids that severely burns our hands withing seconds.
2) while doing the experiment, make sure that both the solutions got mixed properly
3) weight it very carefully..

Hope it helps!
