In presence of oxygen
-breakdown of glucose into pyruvate takes place in mitochondria of the cell
- end products of this process CO2 to H2O and high amount of energy.
-Glucose is converted into a 3 carbon molecule called pyruvate which furtherbreaks down in the presence of oxygen to form carbon dioxide and water.
