Explain the process of budding in four steps
Answers
Budding is a method of asexual reproduction undertaken by yeast. The various steps involved in the process of budding are- 1
1.The parent cell is seen outgrowing a small bud like structure.
2. The size of the bud increases and simultaneously so does the size of the nucleus.
3. The nucleus of the parent cell is seen divided into two parts
4. One of the nuclei then further sees development
5. The bud grows as large as the parent cell
6. A wall forms between the parent cell and the matured bud
7. The fully grown bud may further reproduce another bud or may detach itself from its parent cell.
This process continues repeating itself.
