in amoeba mode of nutrition is holozoic....wheneveceit comes in contact wd food its sends out false finger like projections called pseudopodia......n engulf it by forming a food cup.....when the tips of encircling pseudopodia comes in contact it closes n firm a food vacoule.....this step is called digestion....this food is absorbed ....diffuses into cytoplasm.....n thn it is assimilated.....egestion of undigested food takes place at any point of the surface of its body

hasleenkaur: stop it now

Amoeba eats tiny plants and animals present in pond water. The body of Amoeba has finger-like projections called pseudopodia which ingests the food. When a food particle comes near Amoeba, the pseudopodia surrounds the food particles and trap the food with a little water forming a food vacuole inside its body. The surrounding cytoplasm secretes digestive enzymes into the food vacuole which acts on the food and thus it gets digested.
