Answer:

The process of digestion along with all the organs:-

1) Buccal Cavity:- The process of digestion starts in the buccal cavity, also known as the mouth. Here the food is thoroughly mixed with saliva, which makes the food soft and easy to digest.

2) Oesophagus:- The oesophagus, also known as the food pipe, helps in transporting food from the buccal cavity to the stomach.

3) Stomach:- The bag-like structure present in the left side of our body is known as the stomach. In the stomach, the food is properly mixed with Hydrochloric Acid and digestive juices which are secreted by the glands.

4) Glands:- The two main glands are:-

  • Liver:- The largest gland in our body plays a vital role in digestion. The liver secretes bile juice which is stored in the gall bladder. This bile juice plays an important role in the digestion of fats.
  • Pancreas:- The pancreas is a leaf like galnd present below the stomach. It secretes pancreatic juice which helps in the digestion of carbohydrates and proteins.
  • Salivary Glands:- The salivary glands, present in the mouth, secrete saliva, which helps in the breaking down of starch into sugar.

5) Small Intestine:- After the stomach, the food reaches the small intestine where it is completely digested. After digestion, the food is absorbed and sent out in the blood.

6) Large Intestine:- Now the leftover food reaches the large intestine. The large intestine absorbs the excess water and sends the food to the rectum.

7) Rectum & Anus:- After the large intestine, the food reaches the rectum. Here the semi-solid waste is stored for some time and then passed on to the anus from where it is excreted in the form of solid waste.

Hope it helps
