  • digestion involves the breakdown of food into smaller and simple components.
  • The nutrients are absorbed by the body in this process.
  • The nutrients which body required are absorbed by the body and then the remian waste is removed from the body called process of excretion.
  • Many gastric juices are secreted in the stomach which helps in the digestion.
  • Some organs involved in the digestion are saliva, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum and anus.
