Explain the process of evaporation with suitable example. class 6
Answers
Answer:
Evaporation is a process of conversion of Water into Gas.
Explanation:
It basically converts Water (Liquid) to Water Vapour (Gas) state when it is heated.
ex.-.
Drying Clothes, Boiling Water etc.
Explanation :
Evaporation is a process in which water changes from a liquid state to a gaseous state. While the boiling temperature of the water is 100°C, it evaporates at 0°C very slowly. The rate of evaporation keeps increasing as and when the temperature increases.
However, the amount at which water evaporates varies from temperature to temperature and on the amount of water which needs to be evaporated. For example, if you take a desert and notice how evaporation does not occur that much there even though it’s really hot. It is so because the majority is only sand with not enough water to get evaporated.
Example :
- Drying of clothes in the sun: The water present in the clothes when they are washed is removed by the process of evaporation.
- Crystallization: The process of obtaining crystals from the mother liquor is known as crystallization and this takes place because of evaporation.
