Ans) Double fertilisation is the process in angiosperms flowering plants in which two sperm from each pollen tube fertilise two cells in a female gametophyte sometimes called an embryo sac that is inside an ovule.

The process of Fertilization and embryogenesis in tissue plants. During the fertilization ,one of the sperm cells fuses with the egg cell to produce a diploid zygote ,which develops into an embryo, and the other sperm cell fuses with the central cell to produce a triploid primary endosperm cell
