Explanation:

When the pollen grains containing the male gametes fall on the stigma of a flower, it germinates and give rise to a pollen tube which passes through style and moves downwards to reach ovules of the pistil. When it raches to th ovules, the tip of the pollen tube bursts open and the male gametes are realeased in the ovules. These male gametes fuses with the female gametes present in the ovules to form a cell calles zygote. This zygote further develops into an embryo. This process is called fertilization.
